Alexia Cielo Colon (Alexia Sky) was raised in Tampa, Florida with a love of music and dance from a young age. Centerstage Dance Academy became her home away from home from the ages of five to eighteen. It was there, that she first laid the foundation for her future with extensive training in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary and hip hop. After graduating from a performing arts high school, she worked as a dancer for Royal Caribbean and Busch Gardens Tampa, while teaching in between contracts. In 2011, Alexia made the move to Los Angeles California. She has since worked in the entertainment industry with directors and choreographers such as Kenny Ortega, Jamie King, Chris Scott, and Jaques Heim. She has also performed with Neil Patrick Harris in The Best Time Ever, Christina Aguilera at the American Music Awards, America’s Got Talent’s iLuminate, and has been featured in numerous commercials. In 2012, she attended the prestigious circus school, E’cole de Cirque’ in Quebec, Canada training in Chinese pole. As she developed more styles of movement she became a member of Substance Over Hype and began site specific work with the Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre. In 2014, Alexia moved to the east coast and completed a Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training in Power Yoga. Currently living in Brooklyn, New York, she has redirected her artistic journey towards choreography, artistic direction, teaching and theatrical work. Alexia is currently a featured performer in “West Side Story” at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey.
