About studio
Carla’s Dance Factory was founded thirty one years ago on the belief that every child should be given the opportunity to enjoy the art of dance. By offering tiered levels of dance classes, beginner through advanced for all ages of children, teens and adults, Carla has been able to achieve her goal of delivering “something fun for everyone”. She believes that when you choose a dance school for yourself or your child, there are things that you should look for-professionalism, quality, and above all experience. Without hesitation, she states that “Not all children are born to become professional dancers, but with enough personalized attention, encouragement, and a basic comprehension of the techniques being taught, each individual student can expand their abilities and achieve their personal level of capabilities. And that is what a positive dance experience is all about. By teaching dance in a nurturing environment and mentoring students to be proud of their accomplishments no matter how great or small, each child develops not only as a dancer and performer but becomes confident of who they are and what they represent. Atmosphere is everything! At Carla’s Dance Factory we are in the business of transforming young children into self assured young adults. What parent would not want that for their child?” Who are the McIntosh Chiefettes? McIntosh Chiefettes - State Champs The McIntosh Chiefettes Dance Team has partnered with Carla’s Dance Factory since 2008 for team ballet and technique training. We are proud to be the Official Training School of the McIntosh Chiefettes, the competition dance team at McIntosh High school. They perform on the sidelines at all football games, half time of basketball games, pep rallies, and several competitions throughout the school year. Accomplishments With the help of Carla’s Dance Factory, the Chiefettes have become a nationally recognized competitive dance team. The Chiefettes compete at Universal Dance Association’s National Dance Team Championship every year, and have placed in Finals in 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012. On the local level competition circuit, the Chiefettes have won 1st place in 25 of the 30 competition routines performed.
